Our Journey of Impact (2018–2025)

From 2018 to 2025, SICD has trained and empowered 21,500+ people across 10 states β€” advancing the Prime Minister’s vision of a Skilled India and powering the Make in India mission. And we’re only getting started.

Over the years, SICD has grown from small beginnings to becoming a trusted partner in skill development, livelihoods, and community resilience. Every year has brought new milestones and deeper impact across India.

🌱 2018–19: Laying the Foundation

We began by reaching communities through PMKVY, PWD, and RPL programs, delivering practical, job-ready training.

  • 7,800+ people trained in masonry, construction, and allied skills across Haryana, UP, Delhi, Punjab, and West Bengal.

  • Introduced large-scale Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) initiatives to certify existing workers.

πŸš€ 2019–20: Scaling Up Through Partnerships

Our collaborations with ACIL CSR, MOHUA, and Hitachi CSR expanded our footprint.

  • 6,500+ beneficiaries trained across Punjab, Haryana, and Maharashtra.

  • Brought skill-building directly to worksites with 10–30 day onsite programs, ensuring immediate livelihood opportunities.

🏑 2020–21: Building Communities, Brick by Brick

Through PNB Housing CSR, we deepened our focus on the construction sector.

  • 600 trained across Maharashtra, Haryana, UP, and MP.

  • Specialized training for rural workers to support housing, infrastructure, and community development.

πŸ”¨ 2021–22: Strengthening Rural Livelihoods

We launched the PMAY-G Rural Mason program in Maharashtra.

  • 550 rural masons trained through intensive 45-day programs.

  • Empowering villagers with employable skills while contributing to India’s rural housing mission.

🌟 2022–23: Expanding Horizons

Diversification marked this year with centre-based and onsite formats.

  • 3,300+ beneficiaries trained under MPJUM and NIPUN projects across Maharashtra, Haryana,UP, Chattishgarh and Delhi.

  • Strong emphasis on upskilling for employability in urban and rural settings alike.

🧱 2023–24: Multi-Sector Skilling

Our work under PMAY-G and SANKALP created multi-dimensional impact in Uttar Pradesh.

  • 1,083 trained (rural masons + multi-job role skilling).

  • Strengthened skill-to-employment pipelines for diverse livelihoods.

πŸ—οΈ 2024–25: Building for the Future

The EPEP program expanded training in construction across UP, MP, and Maharashtra.

  • 1,900 workers trained through 4-day onsite modules.

  • Equipping workers with practical skills for immediate industry needs.

πŸ”— 2025–26 (Ongoing): Towards Sustainable Livelihoods

Our journey continues with RCCD CSR and the Upskilling & Deployment Initiative in Bihar and UP.

  • Training rural youth in construction trades and creating direct employment linkages.

  • Center-based and onsite formats ensuring scalable, sustainable impact.
