About Us

Social Initiative for Community Development (SICD)

The Social Initiative for Community Development (SICD) is a Delhi-based not-for-profit organization, officially established in 2021, dedicated to fostering self-reliance, sustainable livelihoods, and community resilience through skill development, education, and social empowerment initiatives.

Before its formal establishment, the organization had already been actively working in the field of skill development and construction worker training since 2018 through its parent organization, R&S Enterprises. The experience, grassroots outreach, and implementation expertise developed under R&S Enterprises laid the foundation for the creation of SICD as an independent social development organization.

Since 2018, SICD and its parent organization have continuously worked across urban and rural regions of India to create sustainable opportunities for youth, construction workers, women, and underserved communities.

Today, SICD is committed to empowering communities through:

  • Skill Development & Vocational Training

  • Livelihood Generation

  • Rural Empowerment

  • Education Support

  • Worker Welfare

  • CSR-led Community Development Initiatives

Over the years, SICD has successfully trained and empowered 24,872+ beneficiaries across 10 states, supporting national initiatives such as Skill India, Make in India, PMAY-G, worker welfare programs, and sustainable community development missions.

Our journey is not only about training numbers — it is about creating opportunities, restoring dignity through skills, strengthening communities, and building a more self-reliant India.
